American Woman Goes Missing in Hungary

A Portland woman has gone missing while on vacation in Hungary, and friends are asking for help finding her.

Mackenzie “Kenzie” Michalski, 31, was last seen in the Jewish Quarter of Budapest on Monday. She was apparently at a bar, there, Szimpla Kert, but has not been seen since, according to a GoFundMe posted by friends in Buffalo, New York, where Michalski is from originally.

She is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 100 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a black, zip-up hoodie, black sneakers or brown ankle sorrel boots, and maybe a black or green hat. She has gauged ear lobes and tattoos of an omega symbol on her left arm and left foot and a Buddha on her right foot.

Anyone with information should contact local Hungarian police at +36-1 461-8100 or +36-1-443-5000 and the United States Embassy: +36-1-475-4400.
