A Kentucky man has been arrested and charged with killing his mother and setting her house on fire.
Joseph Fulton, 43, was arrested Friday night after firefighters responded to a fire at Mary Fulton’s home in Wayne County that morning, g.
Fulton lived at the home with his 64-year-old mother, according to Kentucky State Police, who said he was not there when emergency responders answered the fire call. They found the body of Mary Fulton after extinguishing the blaze.
State police said Fulton “reportedly made statements claiming he shot his mother and set the house on fire,” although they did not say to whom he made those statements.
Fulton was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. Friday night and charged with murder and arson.
