Michigan police are investigating after a body was found in a home’s freezer last week.
East Lansing Police officers responded to a 911 call that reported blood on the floor inside the home.
Upon searching the residence, officers found a body inside a freezer and the possible remains of a second person inside the same freezer. The remains have been taken to a state crime lab for further investigation.
Without explaining why, police said they don’t believe there is any threat to the public.
WLNS, however, reported that the death or deaths are being investigated as murder.
The home is apparently a rental; the police press release said officers were accompanied by the “property management company.”
No arrests have been made, and no information has been released since Friday.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Sgt. Nicole Mitchell at (517) 319-6876 or Detective Jason Cotton at (517) 319-6842.
