A California couple was arrested this week after their 10-year-old son was brought to a Moreno Valley hospital “in medical distress” and later died.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said the boy was brought to the hospital on Thursday by medics, and an initial investigation found “signs of possible neglect and abuse.”
Several hours later, the boy was dead.
The child’s adoptive parents, 51-year-old Alejandra Marin and 59-year-old Juan Sanchez Moreno, were charged with murder, torture, and child abuse.
Investigators have not provided a cause of death or any details about the torture and abuse of the boy.
They ask anyone with information to contact Central Homicide Investigator S. Denham or Master Investigator R. Deanne at 951–955–2777.
