A Georgia man has been charged with murder after his ex-girlfriend was found dead in her home.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that officials in Toccoa asked for its assistance on Friday after Angela Baker, 42, was found dead in her home by family members.
Corey Bryant, 36, was arrested later on Friday on charges stemming from a fight earlier in the day; the fight was a separate incident from the murder, the GBI Said.
Investigators continued to look into the murder and “discovered evidence” leading them to charge Bryant, who was “previously involved in a relationship” with Baker, with murder, the GBI said on Tuesday.
No further information was released. The GBI said it would had over its case file to the Mountain Circuit Judicial District Attorney for prosecution when it completes its investigation.
