Houston Husband Confesses to Killing Wife at Motel

A Texas man was charged with killing his wife Wednesday evening at a Houston motel.

Houston Police said they were called to the Moonlight Inn at about 6:15 p.m. and were met outside by 36-year-old Myron Lynn Strambler. Officers found the motel room in disarray and Alicia Michele Strambler, 34, dead on the bathroom floor.

Investigators said she died from blunt force trauma. Charging documents said Myron Strambler admitted killing his wife, saying he hit her with his hand and slammed her head into a wall.

KHOU said Strambler has an extensive criminal record that includes a conviction in 2021 for assaulting a family and a guilty plea in 2009 to two counts of raping a child. He served only four years for that crime.
