Virginia School Bus Driver Charged With Inappropriately Touching Students

A Virginia school bus driver has been charged with inappropriately touching students on his bus.

Matthew Ellis Davis, 51, was arrested on Monday and charged with three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery/victim under 13 and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery, WSET reported. The victims were four girls: a 15-year-old, two 14-year-olds, and a 12-year-old.

A criminal complaint says that a parent of the 15-year-old contacted the the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and said that his daughter had told him Davis touched her inappropriately and that the driver “often makes inappropriately sexual comments to the girls on the bus.”

A forensic investigators spoke with the three teens, who reported that Davis had touched them on their breasts or buttocks. Two of the girls said that Davis would tell them they had a hair or lint on them and then brush their breast or buttocks as if removing it.

One of the victims said the bus driver “caressed her butt” while trying to take the phone she had in her back pocket.

The investigators spoke with the 12-year-old on Monday, and she said that Davis had touch her breast multiple times.

The four girls said the incidents took place over the past two years.

Davis has a preliminary hearing scheduled for February 4, 2025.
