Police in Albuquerque have arrested a second suspect linked to the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old boy.
According to KRQE, police apprehended 21-year-old Thomas Acee on Thursday night for the murder of Michael Tubb. In August, officers arrived in downtown Albuquerque to find Tubb deceased in a car, while his friend had been shot in the leg.
Police took Michael Flores into custody for the murder in October after tracing the car he drove during the shooting. Police indicated that Acee was present with Flores on the night of the incident.
Acee, who has a significant criminal background, faces more than 23 charges in connection with the murder.
Investigators said that Acee was with Flores on the night of the shooting as part of their investigation. He faces allegations of firing multiple rounds at the vehicle carrying the victims.
Acee is also linked to a 2022 apartment shooting that resulted in several injuries.
According to ABQ News, he the son of FBI Special Agent Bryan Acee, reportedly known for his involvement in high-profile cases.
