Las Vegas police spearheaded a sting operation targeting child sex predators in early December, ultimately arresting eight men.
The men all face charges of luring a minor with a computer to engage in sex, with one of them getting an additional charge of attempted use of a minor to produce pornography, KLAS reports.
Seven of the men were named: David Bryant, 27; Shawn Carter, 39; Dominique Davis, 43; Marvin Farfan, 23; Deangelo Kind, 31; Christopher Miller, 35; and Matthew Webb, 57. They were arrested on December 5 and 6; Webb was the man with the pornography charge.
Las Vegas Police said that several other agencies participated in the two day operation, including the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, Homeland Security, the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan, North Las Vegas, and Henderson police departments.
Six of the men posted bail and are due back in court in January. Kind is being held without bail because of a suspended sentence in an unrelated case.
