The parents of a 6-week-old eastern Kentucky boy found dead at his home have been arrested more than a year after the infant’s death.
Carrie Hall, 25, and Jacob Hall, 36, were arrested separately on Friday on murder and criminal abuse charges in the death of Hartley Hall, the baby who was found dead at a home in Wurtland on November 29, 2023, WOWK reported.
The child’s cause of death has not been released.
Carrie Hall was arrested in Greenup County and is being held in the jail there on a $200,000 cash bond. Jackbo Hall was arrested about two hours later in nearby Boyd County, where he is being held on a $20,000 cash bond. He is expected to be brought to Greenup County to face the charges.
The arrests followed an indictment by a Greenup County grand jury. Investigators told WSAZ that a lack of cooperation from family members delayed the investigation an subsequent arrests.
