2 Charged With Killing High School Senior After May Prom

Alabama authorities have arrested two men for the shooting death of an 18-year-old man after he attended a high school prom seven moths ago.

Delvin Tarver was found shot to death inside a car in the parking lot of a Union Springs drug store on May 4. Court documents say he was riding with friends after the Bullock County High School prom, and the group ended up in a CVS parking lot.

Witnesses said an argument started in the parking lot, and the argument escalated into gunfire. A bullet hit Tarver in the head. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Anthony Donzell Jackson and Freddie James Williams Jr., both 22, were arrested this week and charged with capital murder. Police say the bullet that killed Tarver came from a gun found at Williams’ home.

Tarver was a senior at Auburn High School, where he played on the football team and was a memboer of the school’s honor society.
