Amber Alert Issued for Missing Florida Boy With Autism

An Amber Alert was issued early Monday morning for a 5-year-old Florida boy with autism who is believed to have been taken from state custody “unlawfully” by family members.

Jace Saunders’ mother and father, Taylor Judy and Brandon Saunders, have been arrested for interference with child custody, and the boy is believed to be with his grandmother, Kelly Dasilva, the Tavares Police Department said.

Police have issued a warrant for Dasilva’s arrest for kidnapping and interference with child custody.

According to WPBF, a family friend, Mitchell Morris, was also arrested on an interference with child custody charge.

Jace Saunders is described as about 3 feet tall and was last seen wearing dark blue pajamas with a graphic design on the front. He was last seen in the area of Summarall Park.

The boy is said to be semi-verbal. Police also issued a “be on the lookout” for a black Honda Accord or other passenger card.
