Non-Custodial Mom Reportedly Takes 7-Year-Old Boy From Dad’s Home

Georgia police are looking for a 7-year-old boy believed taken by his biological mother during a visit in Snellville.

Gwinnett County Police said that Michelle Marks came t0 Georgia from Oklahoma to visit her son, Royal Marks, who was in the custody of his father. Family members told police that while they spoke with her about an upcoming custody hearing, she reportedly made comments that she would harm herself if she lost custody.

The mother reportedly took the boy late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.

Gwinnett County Police have issued kidnapping warrants for Michelle Marks, who reportedly also has outstanding warrants in Oklahoma. She also uses multple aliases, including Michelle Jones, Michelle Legacy, and Michelle Young.

She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 140 pounds.

Royal is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall and 90 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red long-sleeved thermal shirt with white lettering and jogging pants.

Police said Michelle Marks does not own a vehicle and may be using ride-share services to leave the state.

They said Marks lost custody of the boy last year in Oklahoma because of neglect.
