Authorities With Shovels Search Home for Toddler Boy Missing Since September

Law enforcement reportedly searched an Alabama home on Wednesday amid the ongoing search for a 1-year-old boy who has not been seen since September.

WMBA reported that people were seen on the Fayette County property with shovels. The property belongs to the family of Kahleb Collins, who was reported missing on December 9, a day after his father and sister, Steven Collins, 40, and Ryleigh Collins, 2, died in a wreck on County Road 73 in Fayette County.

Khaleb Collins is not believed to have been in the wreck, which also left his mother seriously injured. Police believe Collins vanished on September 4 — leading to the arrest of his grandfather, John Bailey, 50, for failing to report his disappearance.

Reports indicated that Steven Collins was driving 95 miles per hour when he veered off the road and hit a tree. Authorities said that both parents were not wearing seatbelts and their toddler daughter was not in a car seat.

Bailey, who was arrested on December 11, remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.
