An Ohio woman has been charged with misdemeanor child endangerment and domestic violence after she allegedly recorded herself abusing her infant daughter and sent the video to the child’s father.
Cloe Workman, 20, was released on her own recognizance to house arrest during a court appearance on Friday and ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Court documents say Workman videoed herself spitting in the child’s face, pushing the baby’s head, and squirting “dish detergent into the child’s mouth.
The video was shared widely on social media, prompting calls for Workman’s arrest.
She has no criminal record as an adult in either Hamilton or Clermont Counties, where she has lived.
A family member told WKRC that the baby girl is a little older than a year and is in the custody of Workman’s grandparents.
