California police are looking for a 38-year-old man suspected of killing his 43-year-old girlfiend and her 19-year-old son on Monday.
Stockton Police said they were called to the home late Monday night and found both of the victims dead.
Police identified Julio Caesar Valdez as the suspect and said he should be considered dangerous. He may be driving a gray, 4-door sedan.
Investigators said the incident appeared to be domestic-related but did not say how Valdez knew the victims. Family members told KCRA that he was the woman’s boyfriend and that the relationship had been abusive.
The victim’s daughter, Marisa Vigil, found the bodies when she went to check on her after not hearing from her mother throughout the day.
“It’s ripped a big piece of our hearts out,” she said at a vigil held Tuesday night. “We want this man caught.”
Family identified the victims as Alicia Montejano and her son Reuel Huerta. Police did not say how they died but said the son had “lacerations.”
