Pennsylvania Man Charged with 102 Counts of Raping Child Relatives

A Pennsylvania man charged with 81 counts of raping a minor relative — including impregnating the girl — has now been charged with 21 additional counts of raping another minor relative.

At leaset one of Scott Sandfort’s victims was his daughter, NorthCentralPA.com reported.

Sandfort, 51, was released on a $200,000 bail after the first arrest in September and then immediately released on another $200,000 bail after the second arrest on December 19.

The details in a Pennsylvania State Police report are utterly horrific. In both cases, Sandfort told his juvenile victims it was God’s will that he rape them, and in the second case, he told the child, identified as his daughter, that men were meant to control women and girls and that the rapes were God’s punishment for disobedient children.

While it’s not clear from NorthCentralPA’s reporting, it appears that the first victim — who was in a sexual relationship with Sandfort for nine years before it was reported — was also the predator’s daughter. She is definitely a relative.

Bradford County Children and Youth Services launched an investigation in May, according to the state police report. Two relatives claimed that Sandfort was the father of the victim’s child, and DNA testing confirmed that allegation in August. According to the police report, Sandfort ordered the victim and other relatives to lie about the relationship.

The victim ultimately admitted that the story was true.

“She explained the relationship between Scott (Sandfort) and her began when she was approximately 16 or 17 years old” and continued to the present time, the report said. The victim claimed it started with touches here and there.”

She said Sandfort used religion to justify the rapes, telling her “Eve was made of Adam and she was made of him,” the report said. He told her the rapes were “acceptable” to God and that “it was his job to repopulate the Earth,” according to the report.

He used similar arguments on the second victim, telling the victim the rapes were part of “God’s plan.” Sandfort reportedly made comments comparing her to her sister, telling her she was more “formed” than her sister and felt better to touch.

According to the report, the second daughter was under 16 at the time of the rapes.

In the first case, Sandfort was charged with ten counts each of rape by forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault by forcible compulsion, incest of a minor, incest, and indecent assault without consent, 20 counts of sexual assault, and one count of corruption of a minor.

In the second case, he is charged with two counts each of rape by forcible compulsion, statutory sexual assault of a victim 11 years or older, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault without consent, aggravated indecent assault by forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault on a victim younger than 16, indecent assault by forcible compulsion, indecent assault on a victim under 16, and incest of a minor, along with the additional charge of corruption of a minor

Sandfort has a preliminary hearing on the second case set for January 8. He was formally arraigned on the 81 counts of the first case on December 9.
