Teen Girl Tells Police Caretaker Abandoned Her Alongside Road

A teenage girl walked into a Georgia police precinct early Monday morning and told officers she had been abandoned on the side of the road.

The Clayton County Police Department said the girl told them her caretaker left her on the side the road near the precinct in Ellenwood, Georgia, southeast of Atlanta, and “has been unable to provide any details regarding her home address, directions, or a way to contact her family.”

She’s described as about 5 feet 1 inch tall and 180 pounds with long black hair in braids and brown eyes.

Anyone with information should contact the Clayton County Police Department immediately at 770-477-3747 or email Det. S. Smith at serrie.smith@claytoncountyga.gov.
