Missouri police found a man and his two children shot to death in a burning home Thursday night.

Kansas City Police arrived at the home for a welfare check at about 9:45 p.m. but backed away when they saw fire in the home, KMBC reported.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and officers found Zachary Hatcher, 39; Jeffery Hatcher, 8; and Charlotte Hatcher, 6, inside.

The little boy was still breathing and taken to a hospital, where he died, according to KHSB. The girl and her father were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the deaths are considered homicides, but they aren’t looking for any suspects.
