Georgia Man Found Shot Dead in Car Wash Bay

Police in Georgia are searching for the killer of a man found shot to death in the middle of a self-service car wash bay on Monday.

Marietta Police say a 911 call came in just after 8 p.m., reporting a man lying in the middle of a bay of the car wash. The caller said the man wasn’t moving and may need medical attention.

Officers found that the man, identified as 59-year-old Daniel Lanard Richardson Jr., had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not say if any vehicles connected to Richardson were found at the scene and specifically said no additional information would be released.

Investigators are asking for help figuring out who shot him and what led to the shooting.
