After 18 days of searching, police have found 14-year-old New York girl Emmarae Gervasi safe.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, her disappearance prompted widespread concern and extensive efforts from the community, including Ganny Petito’s parents, who vowed to raise awareness following her December 9 disappearance.
“I found emma !!! Please give me some time and then I will address the public in a few thanks … Prayers answered,” her father, Frank, who has legal custody, posted on Facebook.
Greater Long Island reports that Emmarae disappeared after walking out of her home barefoot and without a jacket. Her father stated that surveillance footage showed her knocking on doors at a Bohemia motel early on December 10 before she vanished again.
The details of her disappearance remain unclear. No official details have been released by law enforcement, bur her mother said she was found on a boat in a marina in West Islip.
