Developing: 7-Month-Old Girl Found Dead, Nevada Man Charged with Murder

On Friday, the Elko Police Department in a Nevada arrested a 37-year-old, charging him with open murder.

This arrest of Donald Rosenauer followed a child abuse investigation that started on New Year’s Eve, 2 News Nevada reports.

On December 31, police were alerted by Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital about a 7-month-old girl brought to the emergency room while unresponsive.

Investigators questioned the infant’s parents, who stated that the child rolled off a couch, resulting in injuries.

However, medical personnel reported that the victim exhibited signs of a brain bleed, hemorrhaging in both eyes, and chest bruising.

Detectives determined that Rosenauer was alone with the infant when her injuries occurred.

The baby was airlifted to Salt Lake City for advanced treatment but removed from life support on January 3.
