A missing North Carolina woman was found dead nearly a week after she was reported missing, and police are investigating her death as a homicide.
Heather Williams, 25, was last seen on January 4 in Fayetteville getting into a light-colored, 4-door sedan with a sunroof and was considered endangered because of a cognitive impairment and limited speech, the Fayetteville Police Department said.
On Friday, police said, they investigated a wooded area near Newark and State avenues, where they found Williams’ body, WRAL reported.
No further information was released.
