Houston Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy wanted for the murder of a 14-year-old boy six months ago.

Abraham Choukair was found shot to death in a car at an apartment complex in northwestern Houston on July 20, 2024. Investigators learned he was last seen in the parking lot with a female, followed by a male shortly before 1 p.m., KRIV reported.

After in the shooting, those two were seen running from the scene.

The female, identified as a 16-year-old girl, and the male, identified as 17-year-old Joshua Garcia, were charged with murder in September, and the girl was arrested on October 15, KPRC said. Her identity was not released because of her age.

Garcia, however, remained on the run until Tuesday, when Houston Police arrested him. Police did not say how he was located.
