Mother of 4 Found Stabbed to Death in Pennsylvania Dumpster

A 39-year-old New Jersey mother of four was found dead in a dumpster in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The Lehigh County Coroner identified the body on Monday as Lucrecia Jadan Sumba and said she died from “sharp force injuries.”

The body was found in a dumpster in Coopersburg borough, WFMZ reported, but police did not say what led them to the location. Coopersburg is about 80 miles from Elizabeth Township in New Jersey, where Sumba lived.

Local news cited a GoFundMe that said Sumba, who moved to the United States from Ecuador in 2021, did not show up for to her job in a nail salon on January 9, and family reported her missing.

“This investigation is being conducted by an out-of-state agency,” Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan said in a statement. “There is no risk to the public. From what we understand, the person of interest in this has been apprehended.”

New Jersey officials have not responded to requests for comment or information about the reported suspect.
