Body Found in Woods Identified as Woman Missing Since 2022, Investigation Underway

Authorities in Tennessee identified remains found in DeKalb County as a  30-year-old woman missing since 2022z

DeKalb County police said hunters found Brittany Miller, who had been missing for more than two years, in a wooded area near Man Hill Road, on January 11.

Miller disappeared from her home on Hurricane Ridge Road on July 4, 2022. WKRN reported that Sheriff Ray announced that the case is now classified as a death investigation, led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

“We are not disclosing how the body was found or the cause of death due to the sensitive nature of the investigation,” Ray said.

Search teams conducted multiple efforts around Miller’s home but found no trace of her. Her body was located across Highway 70, near her residence.

News Channel 5 reports that the state medical examiner confirmed her identity using medical records, and Miller’s family has been informed.
