Connecticut police are looking for a driver who shot a 12-year-old boy multiple times after a snowball hit a car Wednesday evening.
The boy was hit multiple times but his wounds were desribed as non-life-threatening, WVIT reported.
Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert told NBC News the driver “looped the block” to chase the boy and his 11-year-old friend after the snowball incident. The boys were playing in the snow, throwing snowballs, when one hit the car, Boisvert said. The driver “fired rounds at the children,” he added.
The other child was not hit by the gunfire.
“It could have been a lot worse,” Boisvert said.
Police are looking for the vehicle involved and say they have video of the incident, WFSB reported.
