Kentucky Man Dies When Hit by Car While Hanging Out Window of Another Car

A Kentucky man was killed last week when he was struck by a vehicle while hanging out the window of the car he was riding in.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said that Michael Orchard, 34, died from multiple blunt force trauma on January 23, according to WLKY.

Louisville Metro Police initially said that the driver “swerved into oncoming traffic intentionally,” causing Orchard to be hit by the second vehicle. They said the driver was taken into custody after fleeing the scene but the next day said that that person was not responsible for Orchard’s death because they were not, in fact, the driver of the vehicle, the Louisville Courier Journal said.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
