Police in New York and volunteers continue their search for 29-year-old Leah Bellitto, last seen Saturday night in the Ransom Oaks neighborhood in Amherst.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Amherst Police Department said Bellitto was last seen by family members Saturday around 9 p.m. in East Amherst.
Searchers found a barefoot footprint in the snow and one of Bellitto’s gloves discarded under a highway overpass, according to WGRZ.
When she left, Bellitto wore a black long-sleeve shirt, pajama pants, and a blue backpack.
“I know that if that was my daughter or my son, I would want somebody out there trying to find them as quickly as possible,” Wayne Michalak, a volunteer, told WGRZ.
Police describe Bellitto as a white female who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs around 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, and a blue flowered-patterned backpack.
Anyone with information about Bellitto or her location is asked to call Amherst PD at 716-689-1311.
