Tot Killer Megan Boswell Found Guilty on All Counts in Daughter’s Death

A Tennessee jury has found child killer Megan Boswell guilty on all three first-degree murder counts in connection with the death of her daughter, Evelyn Boswell.

In addition to the murder charges ,a Sullivan County jury also convicted Boswell on multiple other counts, including aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect, according to WJHL.

Boswell began crying as the jury announced the guilty verdict on the second first-degree murder charge.

The jury started deliberating Wednesday afternoon after closing arguments, spending about four and a half hours on the case through Thursday morning.

Following a brief recess ordered by Judge Jim Goodwin, the jury moved into the sentencing phase. They will determine whether Boswell faces life in prison without parole or a life sentence.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Boswell stuffed Evelyn’s body in a trash can, which was found hidden inside a play shed on her grandfather’s property in 2020.  She then repeatedly lied to police multiple times, hindering the investigation while blaming family members for the child’s disappearance.

“Every time we talk to her, her story changes,” Sheriff Jeff Cassidy of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department said of Boswell in 2020.
