British Woman Shot Dead While Visiting Dad’s Home in Texas

Texas prosecutors are preparing to present case to a grand jury in which a British woman, visiting her American father in a Dallas suburb, was shot to death on the day she was to leave to return home.

A heavily redacted report from the Prosper Police Department says they investigated the death of 23-year-old Lucy Harrison at the home of her father, Kris Harrison, the BBC reported.

The police report said that a “suspect” and five witnesses to the fatal January 10 shooting had been identified.

The report was so heavily redacted that little information about the shooting could be gleaned from it, other than calling the killing a “criminally negligent homicide.”

The autopsy revealed that Harrison was shot in the chest “by another person,” the Daily Mail reported.

A police spokesperson said the Collin County District Attorney was reviewing the “thorough investigation” case before presenting it to the grand jury.

A statement released by Harrison’s family through the Cheshire Police in the United Kingdom said that she “was life.”
