A 19-year-old Connecticut woman and a 2-year-old boy were found stabbed to death Saturday night at an apartment in West Haven.

Police said they were called to the complex just before 9 p.m. Saturday and found a man witnesses said had jumped from a second story window outside with injuries, WCIT reported. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Inside, they found the woman and the toddler dead.

West Haven Police said a suspect was in custody but did not specify it was the man they took to the hospital, who had apparently jumped through a glass window and landed on a walkway outside.

Police said they were joined by the Milford States Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in the investigation.

Officials have not released the identities of the suspect or victims.
