A North Carolina man was arrested Wednesday after he was found at the scene of his girlfriend’s murder.

Cary Police said they were called to an apartment adjacent to CubeSmart Storage’s leasing office, where manager Rebecca Rene Carter, 41, lived, and found her dead, WNCN reported.

Police did not say how Carter died or who called them to the apartment, but, they said, they found Travis Wynton Huff, 40. at the scene. Huff, Carter’s boyfriend, made incriminating statements and was taken in for questioning.

He was later charged with murder.
