A New Hampshire woman was arrested on Friday for allegedly urinating on food at a grocery store and posting the footage online.
WMUR reported that Kelli Tedford, 43, filmed herself contaminating food and surfaces with urine at the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene on February 10. An investigation reportedly uncovered Tedford doing the same thing at businesses in Keene and elsewhere as early as 2021.
In turn, the co-op recalled various organic foods — including quinoa, walnuts, and polenta — that were purchased between February 10 and 15. In addition to sanitizing the store, the co-op said affected customers were contacted to receive a refund. Meats, produce, seafood, and refrigerated foods were not contaminated.
Authorities were anoynmously tipped off about Tedford’s alleged actions on february 14. The grocery store reported $1,500 in losses.
Tedford is charged with criminal mischief. She is due in court on April 7. Police have not disclosed what other businesses were affected or if additional charges are forthcoming.
