BOLO: Police Seek Tips on Missing NC Woman with Memory Issues

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating a woman who hasn’t been seen since last month.

BCSO reports that Amanda Smith was last seen at her home on February 25 and that her hair is now shorter than it appears in her missing photo.

ANC 13 reports that police believe she may be in downtown Asheville and could have difficulty remembering or communicating her address due to cognitive health issues. She was possibly wearing a grey sweater when she vanished.

Anyone with information should call the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at (828) 250-6670.
