The boyfriend of a 22-year-old Florida woman found naked and dead along Interstate 95 in December has been charged with her murder.
Lorent Junior Pion, 29, was initially charged with failing to stop and aggravated fleeing after telling police that Nahomi Cittadini jumped out of his moving vehicle and was hit by a passing car, WFOR reported.
According to an arrest warrant charging him with second degree murder months after the incident, however, traffic camera footage shows a man repeatedly punching a woman and dragging her toward the highway.
“The victim crawled back to the emergency shoulder,” a Florida Department of Transportation worker who viewed the footage said. “The subject punched the victim and dragged her back to the far-right lane in the path of oncoming traffic.”
The arrest warrant also says that blood was found both inside and outside Pion’s vehicle.
According to the arrest warrant, Pion was often violent with Cittadini, and a protective order was issued against him after a physical altercation in Miami Beach in August.
