Georgia Dentist Charged With Murder of Boyfriend

A Georgia dentist was arrested earlier this month for the murder of her boyfriend.

Hall County deputies said they responded to a home at 1:15 a.m. on March 8 and found a man shot in the torso. He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as 68-year-old James David Barron. The suspect, 61-year-old Suzanne Renee Mericle, was still at the home when deputies arrived.

She has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
