BOLO: Police Seek Tips on California Woman Missing Since 2021, Following Father’s Death

Tuolumne County investigators in California  are asking for help finding a woman last seen in May 2021.

Kimana Councilman, 23, disappeared near Rocca Park in Jamestown. The sheriff’s office renewed its call for leads last week in a Facebook post.

She spoke to The Union Democrat in May 2020 about her father, Richard Councilman Jr., who deputies shot and killed during a domestic violence call in Jamestown.

“My father was a very honest and loving man,” Kimana Councilman said on May 27, 2020. “But he was mentally ill. That’s what got us in the situation we are in. He is dead.”

“They came to arrest him, and he made the decision knowing wholeheartedly what would happen if he fought back and he made the decision to do so anyway. My father would have rather been dead than in prison.”

Councilman is described as standing 5-foot-5-inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a pentagram tattoo on her right wrist.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact the Sheriff’s Investigations Division at (209) 533-5815.
