Watch LIVE: Ruth Bader Ginsburg memorial service, coffin arrives at Supreme Court
– The coffin of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg arrived at the Supreme Court Wednesday morning.
– The coffin will lie in repose for two days.
– Ginsberg, 87, passed away on September 18 from pancreatic cancer issues.
– Ginsburg, known affectionately as “RBG,” had served on the Supreme Court for over 27 years.
– Ginsburg was the first Jewish justice of the Supreme Court, and the second woman.
– ‘Ruth is gone and we grieve,’ Chief Justice John Roberts said in his eulogy. ‘Of course, she will live on in what she did to improve the law and the lives of all of us.’
– Ginsburg’s casket will be open for public viewing from 11 a.m. to 10 .pm. Wednesday, and from and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday.
– Ginsburg is the first woman to lie in state at the U.S. Capitol.
– Ginsburg was the first woman to be hired with tenure at Columbia University School of Law.
– In 2019, Ginsburg won the Berggruen Prize for Philosophy & Culture after her contributions to social justice and equality.
– In 2020, Ginsburg was the recipient of the National Constitution Center’s Liberty Medal.

-Chad Daybell appeared in court Friday morning for his arraignment on charges related to the deaths of Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow, the children of his wife Lori Vallow.
-Daybell was arrested on June 9 after investigators found the remains of the two children buried in his backyard in Salem, Idaho.
-Daybell pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of concealment of evidence and two felony counts of conspiracy to conceal evidence.
-The prosecution and defense have agreed to a three-week trial for Daybell, from Jan. 11 through Jan. 29, 2021.

WATCH LIVE: Court hearing for father & son suspects accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery
-The preliminary hearings for Greg and Travis McMichael for the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery began Thursday morning.
-The suspects are facing murder and aggravated assault charges after following Arbery through a Brunswick neighborhood before Travis McMichael shot Arbery three times.
-Gregory McMichael would later tell investigators that they brought guns because they thought Arbery was armed, although an investigation determined that Arbery was unarmed.
-The suspects purportedly said they were attempting to make a citizen’s arrest when Arbery was killed.

– A combination of bystander videos, bodycam and surveillance footage provides a glimpse into George Floyd’s May 25 death.
– Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin, 44, allegedly killed Floyd, 46, 17 minutes after police were called to Cup Foods because Floyd possibly used a counterfeit bill to pay for cigarettes.
– Within six minutes of responding to the scene, officers are seen physically struggling with Floyd — who says he’s having trouble breathing.
– Chauvin was filmed forcing his knee into Floyd’s neck for several minutes until Floyd loses consciousness.
– Chauvin along with the three other officers who responded to the scene were fired; Chauvin was arrested Friday on third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges in connection with Floyd’s death.
Protestors push for justice after high school football star is shot down while reportedly jogging [SEE IT]
– Protestors jogged in Atlanta, while others walked with signs in support of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery.
– Arbery was shot and killed in February while jogging in a Brunswick, Georgia, neighborhood.
– No arrests have been made in the case.
– The protest happened days after cell phone footage of the shooting was released to the public.
– Retired district attorney investigator Gregory McMichael, 64, claimed he shot Arbery for ‘viciously attacking’ his son.
– Arbery’s mother, Wanda Cooper, said her son was unarmed when he was chased down, accosted and shot.
